Day 2 DC

Second stop of the day was the most interactive museum in the country, the Newseum. We watched a 4-D film about the importance of journalism to our nation's history. It was one of the coolest things any of us had ever seen. Adam Pickard said "I liked the 4D movie in the museum, it was an experience you couldn't get anywhere else." Mia Carillio also enjoyed the Newseum saying "I liked the Newseum because I realized how news affects people's understanding about an event or even how we see the future. I enjoyed the movie."

We also were able to tour the National Archives to see the original copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We then visited the National Cathedral, which is built in the gothic style and had another wonderful tour.  They have a small statue there of St Edward the Confessor and believe it or not, President Woodrow Wilson is buried there!
